The Wall

 

Today we did and after work hike to the Wall (Veggen). This is my colleague working at radiology department here in Lofoten, only this week. He is actually from Tromsø and also part of DNT Fjellsport up there so we met in Lyngen for the annual meeting.

This morning I did some exploring around Ersfjord. Then we started hiking towards Breidtind but the weather was not so good and visibility also not so good so we turned around. Then we moved our camp to another beach where we found some bouldering and after exploring it was time for dinner inside since it started raining again.

Yesterday morning I took the bus to Bardufoss. And this morning we packed and went to Senja. Weather forecast is not very good but we'll just have to do the best we can with those days we have. We hiked up the Hat with some rain in the beginning and then increasing wind. We set camp at Ersfjord beach.

Today we did a midnight hike, we started around 8 pm and we came down just before midnight. It was REALLY cold today. We had to wear all our clothes when we sat down to eat on summit. We didn't stay very long because of the cold.
